Bench Fee (Non-Warranty Repairs)

We charge a non-refundable bench fee of $80 for all equipment brought or shipped in for repair. This fee covers the initial evaluation and any setup required to begin the repair process. If the repair requires more than one hour of labor, a verbal or written estimate will be provided before proceeding. If you approve the repair, the bench fee will be applied to your total bill. If you choose not to proceed, the bench fee remains non-refundable.

Hourly Labor Rates

• $109/hr: Applies to most guitar and bass amplifiers (tube and solid state) and most Hi-Fi tube equipment.

• $129/hr: Applies to most powered speakers, mixers, studio monitors, and signal processors.

• $139/hr: Applies to most synthesizers, keyboards, electric pianos, studio outboard gear, digital equipment, SMD work, and high-value or logistically complex items requiring extensive shipping or administrative work.

Rush Services

Need your gear prioritized? Our Rush Service ensures your equipment gets moved to the front of the line for evaluation. Please note that this service accelerates the diagnosis process but does not guarantee expedited completion of repairs. The rush fee is non-refundable and charged in addition to the bench fee.

• Level 1 Rush – $50: For most guitar amplifiers (tube and solid state).

• Level 2 Rush – $100: For powered speakers, subwoofers, studio monitors, studio equipment, large solid-state amps, synthesizers, keyboards, electric pianos, and mixers.

• Level 3 Rush – $200: Same-day service for urgent repairs (subject to availability).

Re-Tube & Bias Service

We stock hundreds of tubes from top brands, ensuring quick turnaround times and access to the best quality components. This service is intended for amplifiers that are fully functional, with no underlying issues or problems. Customers requesting this service must ensure their amp is in proper working condition and require only fresh tubes. Diagnostic services are not included in this offering. All re-tube services include a 90-day warranty on parts and labor. Please note that we do not offer any warranty if the customer provides their own tubes.
(Typical turnaround: 1-5 business days)

• $80 Bench Fee: Covers the initial evaluation, setup for re-tube and bias services, and includes the rush fee.

• $109/hr: If additional time is required beyond the initial evaluation, our standard hourly rate of $109 will apply.

Special parts orders exceeding $200 will require pre-payment.

Most repairs will also incur a small flat fee for shop supplies. This fee covers the cost of consumable materials such as solder, cleaning sprays, lubricants, desoldering products, shop rags, and other essential supplies used during the repair process.
